IEM - Advanced Job Management
Order and Work Preparation
Work Preparation and Execution in a Job
A Job in the Order state is a special kind of sales order. Every control feature can be maintained. You can use sales invoices and credit memos to customers for various posted job entries and to invoice the cost. The Job is created by promoting the state of a planned -, or a quoted Job to Order. Or you can creat a Job directly in the order state through the Create Job wizard by importing a template.
From the Job's Budget Planning Lines are created to prepare the work and plan and procure Resources and Material. From the Job Task Resource Tasks are created as the integration with Resource Management's Time Registration. Material can be purchased Job Specific against job specific prices and to separate the inventory.
Job Inventory is either Consumed in the Job, in Production - or Assembly Orders, or Delivered from the Job. When the Job progresses Service Items can be created from Job Items and, optionally, added to a Service Object related to the Job.
When the Job is invoiced on a Time & Material basis, all usage on the Job is invoiced, based on Deliveries from the Job, or a Fixed Price contract in combination with an Invoicing Schedule.
