How To: Calculate a Planning
For the Job Item Planning line a Material Requirements Planning can be calculated:
- Click the Planning action on the ACTIONS tab in the Job Item Planning line to open the Job Planning Worksheet
- Click the "Calculate Plan" action in the ribbon to open the Calculate Plan dialogue.
- Complete the Options and click OK to start the calculation
- Review the calculation result and use the "Carry Out Action Messages" to create replenishment orders or transfer to a Requisition Worksheet
Notes:
- Only "Released" Job Item Planning lines will be included in the planning calculation.
- The standard Dynamics NAV functionality for Material Requirements planning is applied.
- When calculating a planning from the Job Task Item Planning lines the scope (filter) for the calculation are the, released, items for the Job Task. Performing the calculation from the Advanced Job Management Tasks all Jobs and Job Tasks can be included.
- The "Calculate Regenerative Plan"in the Planning Worksheet from ./Departments/Manufacturing/Planning has a "Skip Job Specific Inventory" option.
- When un-checked this plan is calculated for all inventory, including Job Specific.
- When checked this plan is calculated for the NOT Job Specific inventory only.
- In other words with this last scenario separate calculations have to be made for Job Specific and NOT Job Specific inventories.
