Label Printing

STAEDEAN provides a framework (within Solution Center) for Label Printing. Using the framework you can provide standard labels and tags directly from Microsoft Dynamics BC to a label printer. Currently, this framework supports the following label printing software:

Using the Automation Inferface: 1. Bartender label printing solution by Seagull Scientific (Version 10.1 Enterprise Automation) 2. Label printing solution by Loftware (Version 10.2 and 11.0)

Using the Drop-file functionality: 1. Bartender label printing solution by Seagull Scientific (Version 10.1 and 2016 R7, Automation or Enterprise Automation Edition) 2. Label printing solution by Loftware (Version 10.2 and 11.0)

N.B. Installation procedure for any label printing software is not in the scope of Solution Center. Please refer to their respective website/help manuals/documentations.

Automation Inferface Setup

Typically, a button on a NAV Page will invoke a label printing action. The Solution Center’s Label Printing Setup directs any Label activity to the active label software. The linked Connection will use the current data and map it according to the label requirements. The Label Activity in the Connection will exchange the data with the TI Label Printing Service. The Service will instruct the Label Software (Loftware, Bartender) to print the label.

 

Drop-File Setup

Similar setup as the Automation interface, a button on an NAV Page will invoke a label printing action. The Solution Center's Label Printing Setup directs any Label activity to the active label software. The linked Connection will use the current data and map it according to the label requirements. The Label Activity in the Connection will export the file to the shared File folder. The Label Software (Loftware, Bartender) will monitor this folder and process the file to print the label.
