How to: Install Label Printing Service

This part of the setup is only for Automation interfacing connection with Bartender or Loftware. Using the Drop-file functionality this step should be skipped.

To be able to configure label printers, you must first install the STAEDEAN label printing service. This installs a windows service which acts as a communication layer between Microsoft Dynamics NAV and label printing software.

N.B. For performance reasons it is advised to install this service on the label-printing server.

To install the label printing service:

- Run the STAEDEAN Label Printing Service.exe available in the software release package

- Follow the instructions displayed on the screen

- To check the result:

• Open Component Service Manager (services.msc)
• A service named STAEDEAN Label Printing Service should be available 
• If the service is not running, then please start the service
