Transport and Deliveries - Transport Orders
The Transport Orders combine one or more containers. The transport orders can be inbound or outbound orders. You can use specific rules and allot permissions to create transport orders per location. The ability to create rules and permissions provides great flexibility to organizations having different shipping rules for different locations.
Typically, a transport order has the following sections:
Transport Order Header: This section contains all generic information to be used for the transport order.
Transport Order Line: This section contains the order information per package type.
For Inbound:
- Inventory Put-away
- Warehouse Put-away
For Outbound:
- Inventory Pick
- Warehouse Pick
The following additional features are also available in the Transport Order Management:
- Transport Cost: Use this feature to transfer the costs added to the transport order, to the standard Microsoft Dynamics NAV Purchase Invoice.
- Online Map: Displays the Transport Order addresses in an on-line map. When clicking this action you can choose to show:
- Pick-up Address
- Delivery Address
- Route from pick-up address to delivery address The following table contains links and descriptions to topics used for this feature.
