How To: Set Approver Groups

When Timecards have to be approved Managers have to be assigned to resources or resource groups and in order to accommodate absence situations, substitutes have to be set for each resource. In order to make this setup easier an Approval Group No. can be set per resource. This setup can be done with the Approval Group Allocation worksheet.

  1. To set the approval groups:
    1. Type Approval Group Allocation in the Search box and select Departments/Resource Planning/Periodic Activities/Approval Group Allocation.
    2. In the worksheet use filters in the header to select the resource for which you want to set an Approval Group. The selected resources will be shown in the lines of the worksheet.
    3. When the selection is complete use the "Assign Approval Group" action to select the Approvers Group, click OK to confirm.
    4. The worksheet lines will show the update.
    5. Per resource the Approver group can be maintained on the Time Registration tab of the Resource card.
