How To : Setup Quality Management

Besides the quality management setup, as mentioned below, the following is required to have measurements created automatically:

  • QM Subscribers: to specify WHEN to measure
    • Note: In most cases the QM Subscribers list will be populated automatically. If not use the Initialize QM Subscribers action on the QM Subscribers page.
  • Measurement Template: to specify HOW to measure specifying:
    • The table from which the measurement is triggered (as enabled in the QM Subscribers)
    • The sampling method
    • Questions and a question set to create check sheets
    • User defined fields
    • Check sheet rating
  • Target Template to specify WHAT to measure

Quality Management Setup

  1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon (Alt+Q)
  2. Type Quality Management Setup:
Field Description
General fast-tab
Default Due Date Formula The time allowed to complete a check sheet
Automatic create Measurements When checked Measurements will be created automatically when a Measurement Template is found by the Incident
Post with Job Queue When checked Measurements will not be created immediately, instead a Job Queue entry will be created.
Quality Team Code To-Do's created from the Measurement will be assigned to this team code.
Default Quarantine Location Select the location where rejected items have to be moved to as one of the Registered Measurement follow-ups
Quarantine Journal Template Name Select the re-classification template to be used for moving rejected items to the quarantine location
Quarantine Journal Batch Select the batch name for the re-classification journal to be used for moving rejected items to the quarantine location
Numbering fast-tab
Measurement Nos. Specify the number series to be used for the measurements
Check Sheet Nos. Specify the number series to be used for the check sheets
Registered Measurement Nos. Specify the number series to be used for the registered measurements
Captions fast-tab
Captions UDF 1..10 Specify the captions for the user defined fields to be used for the measurements

Notifications

To show a message in the source document when a measurement is created you have to set the notification:

  1. Choose the Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature icon (Alt+Q)
  2. Type My Notifications an choose the link
  3. In the My Notifications page locate: Show Incident Notification and make sure Enabled is true.
