Design Detail: Index Resource Prices and Costs
With this functionality Resource - and Job Resource prices have a validity date: Starting - Ending Date similar to the item prices. The price search function takes these dates into account when retrieving prices in the Job Budget Lines. From the Resource Planning, Tasks 2 worksheets are available: Resource Price Worksheet and Resource Cost Worksheet.
The process consists of the following steps:
- Load the existing prices / costs into the worksheet and apply a calculation factor.
- Review the prices / costs and update where necessary.
- Implement the price / costs changes in Resources, Resource Groups and, optionally, the Job Budget Lines while creating, and activating, a new version of the Job Budget.
- The Copy to Job Price Master function in the Resource Price Worksheet makes it possible to create a Job Resource Pricelist.
