How to set the Allergen Consumption Enforcement Level
This enforcement level is set up on the Inventory Setup page. Here the user sets the "Allergen Consumption Enforcement Level" to either Warning or Error. This setting determines the behavior of the system in the following situation:
- A production order is reported on and an item is added to the consumption that is not part of the standard production order component list.
- The addition of the item is performed through the Batch reporting page, Process Reporting page, Consumption Journal, Recurring Consumption Journal page or Production Order Components page.
- The item added has an allergen linked to it that is not present on the output item of the production order.
This could lead to the introduction of a non-described allergen in the output item with all issues that arise from that.
When the Enforcement level is set to Warning, the system will show a warning when the user tries to add the item to the consumption. The user can then decide to ignore the warning and move forward or accept the warning and stop the process.
When the enforcement level is set to Error, the system will not allow the user to add this item as component and will throw an error.
