How to perform an allergen rollup
The Allergen Rollup runs without user interference. It looks for all items that contain allergens and copies these values to the BOM in which the item is used. After linking the allergen code to the BOM, the system looks at the items associated with this BOM and copies the allergen codes to those items. The system then searches for a higher-level BOM and repeats the process.
In this way, the system automatically copies allergen codes linked to a raw material all the way through intermediates to the end product.
Allergen codes of the type May contain that are linked directly to BOMs are also copied to the items above that BOM. The finished product can therefore contain both allergens and May contain values from ingredient items, and also May contain values from the BOMs used to produce it.
You can also automate the allergen rollup. Run the Allergen Rollup process through the job queue. To do this, set up the job queue and create a separate Job Queue Entry for CodeUnit 37002922. The normal job queue settings apply. There is no specific instruction for the recurrence, as this depends on the individual customer's needs.
