How To : Create Serivce Items from the Job Item list

Use the Job Items page to create service items from Job Items.

Creating Service Items from Job Items

  1. In the Search box, type Jobs.
  2. Select Jobs from the Advanced Job management Department to open the list of available Jobs.
  3. Select the Job to create Service Items from and click Edit to open the Job card
  4. Select the Navigate tab and locate Job Items, click to open the Job Items list
  5. The Job Items List shows all items used in the list. Items with a Service Item Group where the setting "Create Service Item" is true are highlighted in bold and blue.
  6. Select the lines to be transferred (hold ctrl to select multiple lines) and click Service Items in the ribbon to open the request page of the task.
    Note The Job Item must be in Job Inventory in order to be transferred to a Service Item and handle serial numbers correctly.
  7. The request page allows you to select a Service Object to which the Service Item should be linked to.
  8. Click OK to start the Task, when complete the Service Item List will be shown
  9. Note that Service Items are single, so for a Job Item with a quantity > 1 multiple Service Items will be created

Note When Posting a Delivery for a Job Item Planning Line, resulting in a posted delivery, service items will be created automatically for Items with a Service Item Group where the setting "Create Service Item" is true. These Service Items must be linked to a Service Object after creation.
