How To : Use the Item template
With the Item and Item Category templates you set which items are to be inspected with which measurement template. This could be inbound shipments (from vendors) as well as outbound shipments (to customers). To set this at the item level, assuming that each item can be different some alternatives have been created to make setup easier:
- Templates per Item category and product groups, apply the same measurement template to an entire category or group of items.
- Target values, set a basic template for an item or a group of items and vary the details (answers) in target values.
The Item Template sets the links between Items, vendors, customers and measurement templates.
