How To : Combined Jobs

You can use Combined Jobs to combine Jobs for the same customers in one overview. This makes managing several Jobs for the same customer easier as it provides an aggregated summary of the key performance indicators. Besides that it provides a function to combine the billable lines of the Combined Jobs in one invoice. When the invoice is posted the Job Ledger Entries are created in the individual Jobs.
Besides the Summary and Billable pages the following pages can be opened to show the resp lines for the linked Jobs:

  • Item Planning
  • Resource Planning
  • Delivery
  • Job WIP Cockpit

Create a Combined Job

Combined Jobs and Jobs are 2 separate entities. In order to combine a number of Jobs first these Jobs have to exist (for the same customer) after that a Combined Job is created and Released. Next the Jobs can be linked to the Combined Job by selecting them form a list. The relation Combined Job ? Job is 1:1.

  1. Make sure a number of Jobs for the same customer exist in the Job List.
  2. Open the Combined Jobs List and click the New action to create a new Combined Job, make sure to specify the same Bill-to Customer as in the Jobs
  3. Release the Combined Jobs header
  4. Click the Link Jobs action in the ribbon which will list the Jobs for the Bill-to Customer.
  5. Highlight the Jobs you want to link (Hold down the Shift or Ctrl key to select multiple Jobs). When done click OK to link the Jobs.

Note that the Summary action will show an aggregated Job Summary for all Combined Jobs.

Create a Combined Invoice

Job invoices can be created from the Combined Job through the Get Contract Lines action. Note that this action will list all contract lines for the Bill-to Customer. The filter options in the header allows the user to quickly make the required selection.

  1. Make sure the selected Jobs have a number of contract lines.
  2. Click the Billable action in the header to open the Billable page.
  3. The Billable page will show all Billable lines for the Combined Job.
  4. Highlight the contract lines that must be invoiced and click OK.
  5. Select the Create Invoice, or Create Credit Memo action from the ribbon to create the document

When selected and confirmed the invoice will be created.
