How To: Create a new Job Quote Version
One of the features of the Job Quote in IEM is the version option. With this option new versions of a Job Quote can be created or a previous version can be restored. This feature supports the scenario where a complicated project is quoted in several iterations until an agreement with the customer is reached.
To create a new Job Quote version
- Navigate to the Quoted Jobs list: ./Departments/Advanced Job Management/Advanced Job Management/Quoted Jobs
- Select the Job Quote for which you want to create a new version
- Locate the New Quote Version action in the ribbon's ACTION tab
- In the pop-up window: "From which document do you want to create a New Quote Version?", select Current Job Quote
- Click OK to confirm
- A new pop-up will confirm the action: "The Job Quote has been archived as [999], you can continue with the current Job Quote"
- Click OK to accept the message
The "Quote Version" field on the Job Quote header will show the current version number you are working in.
To create a Job Quote version from the archive
- Navigate to the Quoted Jobs list: ./Departments/Advanced Job Management/Advanced Job Management/Quoted Jobs
- Select the Job Quote for which you want to restore a version
- Locate the New Quote Version action in the ribbon's ACTION tab
- In the pop-up window: "From which document do you want to create a New Quote Version"", select Archived Job Quote
- Click OK to confirm
- A "Quoted Job Archive List" will be shown from which the version to restore can be selected, click OK to confirm the selection
- A new pop-up will confirm the action: "The selected archived version has been restored, the current version has been archived as: [999]"
- Click OK to accept the message
The "Quote Version" field on the Job Quote header will show the current version number you are working in.
