Planned Job Card
The Planned Job card allows you to create a Job in a number of ways:
- The Create Job wizard with which you copy from a previous Job or select a template to create the Job from
- The New Job action to create a Job from scratch and use the Estimate function
The following steps will walk you through the creation of an Estimate:
- On the Planned Job Card tab to the Description field and type a short description of the Deliverable for the Job (The Job No. will be assigned automatically).
- At this point also the Job Deliverable can be created through the Deliverables action on the Navigate tab
- There are 2 option now to identify the prospect:
- As an existing customer: select a Customer No. in the Bill-to Customer No. field.
- As a contact: select a Contact No. in the Bill-to Contact No. field as well as a Customer Template Code. This customer template will be used to create a customer no. when the Job Quote is promoted to the Order state.
- The Name and Address fields will be completed automatically.
- Since we are creating an Estimate based on Elements and Activities skip the Base Template Code.
- Complete the other fields as required.
