Setting up Loading Docks
Loading docks can be used in relation with Delivery Trips. When creating a delivery trip a loading dock can be specified.
When the setting "Use Container Status Loaded" is checked in the Transport and Deliveries setup selecting a Loading Dock on a Delivery Trip is mandatory. The user will see a warning when a Delivery Trip is already assigned to the same Loading Dock.
To set up a Loading Dock
- In the Search box, enter Loading Dock and then select the Warehouse/Transport and Deliveries/Setup link.
- Select Loading Docks to open the window.
- Click New to create a new loading dock.
- Enter the values for the Code and Description fields.
- Enter the code for the location associated with this loading dock.
