How To : Create an Engineering Change Request
Engineering change request can be made from several places in the application. The reason for this is to make it easy to create an ECR and in that way capture all comments, suggestions, issues, ideas, etc. around a product.
The Create Engineering Change Request wizard is available from the following documents:
- Sales Order
- Purchase Order
- Service Order
- Project
- Production Order
- Idea
- Registered Measurement
- Choose the icon (Alt+Q).
- Type, for example, Service Orders to open the list.
- Open an existing order and locate the Create Engineering Change Request wizard in the ribbon
Completing the Create Engineering Change Request wizard:
Field | Explanation |
---|---|
First page | |
Title | Type a short title for the request |
Other fields | are already populated based on the source document and the user. |
Second page | |
Describe your change: | Additional description besides the Title |
Priority: | Will be calculated from the selected Severity and Impact |
Severity: | Select one of: Low, Medium, High, Critical |
Impact: | Select one of: Low, Medium, High |
Deadline: | Select a date when you like the change to be ready |
Type: | Select Item or BOM |
No: | Specify the Item or BOM number |
Location: | Specify a location (will be captured in the app) |
Picture: | Upload a picture |
To complete the wizard click Finish
