How to: Set up the XML to XML Translator activity

Use the XML to XML Translator activity to apply a custom XML style sheet on an XML document.

To set up the XML to XML Translator activity:

1. Create a connection and insert the element XMLTOXMLTRANSLATOR.
2. On the elements line, select Edit.
3. On the XML to XML Translator Setup page, use the Upload action or the assist edit on the XSLT File Name field to upload an XSLT file.
4. Select Check Configuration to see if there are any configuration errors.
5. Select OK.

If the configuration contains a file path in the XSLT File Name field, the activity uses the path when no file is uploaded, to support upgrades. However, this prevents exporting the configuration to another environment, because the XSLT file is not part of the package as it is when using the upload method.
