How to: Setup Conversion Table
Use this task to set up Conversation Tables. A conversion table holds a one-to-one translation from internal to external value. You can define the translation in a document definition, for example, to map a customer number to an EAN code.
To setup conversion table:
- Go to the Setup part of the solution. For:
- Connectivity Studio click Departments/Business Integration Solutions/Connectivity Studio/Setup.
- Notification Management click Departments/Business Integration Solutions/Notification Management/Setup.
- Replication Management click:
- Departments/Business Integration Solutions/Replication Management/Publications/Setup for publications.
- Departments/Business Integration Solutions/Replication Management/Subscriptions/Setup for subscriptions.
- EDI Studio click Departments/Business Integration Solutions/EDI Studio/Setup.
- Click Conversion Tables.
- Edit conversion table and fill in the following fields:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Code | Identification of the conversion table. |
| Description | Short description of the conversion table. |
| Internal Value | Internal value, for example: a customer with value 10000. |
| External Value | External value, for example, a customer with EAN code EAN123456789. |
Conversion table is setup with one-to-one translation from internal to external value.
