How to: Import a configuration package
Use this task to import a compressed (.zip) configuration package into Microsoft Dynamics BC.
To import a configuration package:
Navigate to the desired connections page of the product and select New > Import Configuration.

Browse to the location where the compressed (.zip) configuration file is saved and select the file.

The Import Package Wizard opens with details about your connections. If your connection number is unique in the system, the Next and Finish buttons are enabled. If it is a duplicate, Finish is disabled because the wizard needs more input. If Finish is enabled, selecting it imports the connection without further action.

If you select Next, the next page lets you validate the identifier for the connection. If the connection identifier is unique in the system, Next and Finish are enabled. If it is a duplicate, two options are available:
- Change the identifier to make it unique.
- Select Replace existing configuration: the existing connection is replaced with the one from your zip package.

If you select Next, the next page shows the package details.

If you select Next, the last page of the wizard shows the package content. At this step you can validate the content and choose which elements to import.

A configuration package with relevant settings adds to the relevant Business Integration Solution.
