How to: Publish a connection

Use this task to publish a connection for a company or companies.

To publish a connection:

1. Depending on the solution, open:

   • Connections for Connectivity Studio and select an existing connection.
   • Notifications for Notification Management and select an existing notification.
   • Publications or Subscriptions for Replication Management and select an existing publication or subscription.
   • EDI Connections for EDI Studio and select an existing EDI connection.

2. Open the card page and configure all the pipeline elements.

3. Select Publish. This opens the Publication Wizard.

4. Select at least one company and select Next.

   If the connection publishes for several companies, ensure the connection is configured for all selected companies, otherwise an error occurs.

5. Press F5 to refresh the page and verify that the connection is verified for all selected companies.

   If the connection cannot be verified, an error message appears in the Error Message column. Go to the specific company and configure the connection's pipeline elements correctly.

6. Select Finish to complete the publication. The connection is now published for the selected company or companies.

   BIS performs a license check. Depending on the NAV BIS license, the user can publish a certain number of connections. When the user reaches the maximum number of published connections, a license warning appears. In this case, read the personal Software License Agreement and select Yes to continue.
