How to: Publish Connection

Use this task to publish a connection for a company (or companies).

To publish a connection:

  1. Depending on the solution, open:
  • Connections for Connectivity Studio and select an existing connection.
  • Notifications for Notification Management and select an existing notification.
  • Publications or Subscriptions for Replication Management and select an existing publication or an existing subscription.
  • EDI Connections for EDI Studio and select an existing EDI connection.
  1. Open the card page and configure all the pipeline elements.
  2. Click Publish. This opens the Publication Wizard.
  3. Select at least one company and press Next. > In case the connection should be published for multiple companies, ensure that the connection is configured for all selected companies, otherwise an error will occur.
  4. Press F5 to refresh the page and see if the connection is verified for all selected companies. > If the connection cannot be verified, the error message occurs in the Error Message column. Go to the specific company and configure the connection's pipeline elements properly.
  5. Click Finish to complete the publication steps. The connection is now published for the selected company or companies. > BIS will perform a license check. Depending on the NAV BIS License, the user is allowed to publish a number of connections. When the user reaches the maximum number of published connections, a License Warning will appear. In this case, please read the personal Software License Agreement and press Yes to continue.
