How to: Setup Document Management
To be able to use the Document Management feature you must first perform a setup in Solution Center.
To setup document management:
- Click Departments/Solution Center/Document Management.
- Open the Document Management Setup page.
- Fill in the following fields:
| Field | Description | Applies when |
|---|---|---|
| Storage Type | Select the storage destination: Network Folder (a folder available on the network), FTP (an FTP location), or SharePoint (Microsoft SharePoint). | Always required |
| File Location | For Network Folder: use the drill-down to select the folder path. For FTP or SharePoint: enter the relevant URL. | Always required |
| Username | For SharePoint Online: enter the login user ID (e.g. username@company.com). For SharePoint on-premise: enter the Windows account ID that has access to the site. | FTP or SharePoint only |
| Password | For SharePoint Online: enter the password for the online login. For SharePoint on-premise: enter the Windows account password. | FTP or SharePoint only |
| SharePoint Document Library | Enter the name of the SharePoint Document Library to use for storing files. | SharePoint only |
| SharePoint Online | Enable this option if using SharePoint Online (cloud-hosted). Disable it for a SharePoint on-premise installation. | SharePoint only |
Note: For Network Folder storage, ensure the user account has the relevant permissions to the folder.
- Save the setup.
