How To : Create a Job Task from a Change Order
When the change order is approved it can be added to the Job as a Job Task to be executed. The creation of the Job Task is only possible when the Change Order is Approved which is indicated by the "Approved" boolean on the Change Order line:
- In the Job Change Order locate Create Job Task in the ribbon and click to open the Create Job Task page.
- In the Create Job Task you must fill the followng fields:
Field | Description |

Job Task No. | Type a Job Task No., this must be a numerical value and unique within the Job |
Description | Is copied from the Job Change Order but can be updated. |
Job Element No. | Select a Job Element, if Elements are used on the Job. |
Job Activity No. | Select a Job Activity, if Activities are used on the Job. |
Invoice Template Code | Select an Invoice Template Code from the drop down list to set an Invoicing Method specific to the Job Task. |
Invoicing Method | The Invoice Template will select the Invoicing Method, but this can be changed by the user. |
Contract Amount and Contract Amont (LCY) | Only applicable in combination with Fixed Price Invoicing Method. |
Starting - and Ending Date | Set the starting and ending dates for the Job Tasks. |
Nr. of Days | Set the amount of working days for the Job Task. |
Job Posting Group | Select a Job Posting Group for the Job Task if this needs to be different from the Job Posting Group. |
Surcharge Model Code | Select a Surcharge Model Code for the Job Task if this needs to be different from the Job Surcharge Model Code. |
WIP Method and WIP-Total | Set the WIP method for the Job Task, in case of Change Orders the WIP method and WIP Total fields are often kept outside of the Job WIP. |
- When the page is complete click Yes to create the Job Task
