Incident Search Window
The incident seach page is the start of the incident registration.
The first step is to enter a search-string in the Search-field. This value will be checked against the values in all the fields provided in the incident search setup. The results of the search will be shown in the sub-page beneath the search area.
It is possible to enter multiple search criteria such as "The Food Group". Initially a search will be performed for all the separate values in one field. If you want the system to search for all words as separate entries, you can select the "Find Any" boolean. All entries containing either "The", "Food" or "Group" will then be shown. Note that also partial results are shown, in this case "Thermal" will also be a result.
The "Find What" field in the Result Set area can be used to further refine a search in the list of results from the first more global search. As an example, once a search for a specific Sales Shipment leads to multiple results (because of multiple lines with different items), the "Find What" can then be used to search for a specific Item number of Lot number within the document that was found.
Once a source for a complaint is found, the user can use the "Record" button in the ribbon to navigate to the actual document. If an incident needs to be created, you can select the "Create Incident" button from the Incident Search Page. After confirming that an incident must be created, the system shows the Incident Entries-Confirm Page. Some of the source data is copied (if it is linked in the correct way in the incident search setup table correctly) in the fields in the Source Details Tab. The value for the incident classification is set automatically based on the mapping of the incident classification setup to the correct table that corresponds with the source record. Initially the status of the incident will be Created. Later we will set the state according to what has been done with the registered incident. Finally an incident reason code needs to be entered.
Once an incident has been registered, it will become visible in the search-results page as an additional tab in the bottom. In this way, the user can immediately see whether a specific source-document has been used as the basis for an earlier incident.
