How to: Set Up Cost Calculation Methods
You can create a cost calculation method, and then assign a cost basis to it, along with other calculation settings. These settings are applied to the item cost values of the assigned cost basis to calculate cost references from which sales prices are determined.
To set up a cost calculation method
- In the Search box, enter Cost Calculation Methods, and then choose the related link.
- On the Home tab, in the New group, choose New. The Cost Calculation Method Card window appears.
- In the Code field, enter a code for the cost calculation method.
- In the Description field, enter a description for the cost calculation method.
- In the Cost Basis Code field, select the desired cost basis.
- Fill in the other calculation fields.
