How to: Assign Multiple Customer Price/Discount Groups to a Customer

You can assign a customer price group or customer discount group to different item categories for a particular customer. When an item is entered on a sales order for the customer, the program will use the groups that have been assigned to the relevant item category to calculate sales prices and discounts on the sales line.

To assign multiple customer price/discount groups to a customer

  1. In the Search box, enter Customers, and then choose the related link.
  2. Open the customer card for which you want to assign multiple customer price or discount groups.
  3. On the Actions tab, in the Functions group, choose Cust./Item Price/Disc. Groups. The Cust./Item Price/Disc. Groups window appears.
  4. In the Item Category Code field, enter the code for the item category for which you want to assign a customer price or discount group.
  5. In the Customer Price Group field, enter the code for the customer price group that will apply to the entered item category.
  6. In the Customer Disc. Group field, enter the code for the customer discount group that will apply to the entered item category.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 to assign customer price or discount groups to other item categories.
