Visual Job Scheduler Integration
The IEM-Visual Job Scheduler Integration integrates STAEDEAN Project Control Suite (PCS) with NETRONIC Visual Job Scheduler (VJS).
To use this feature the NETRONIC Visual Job Scheduler must be acquired and installed as well as the STAEDEAN-Visual Job Scheduler Integration.
The integration aligns the PCS data model with VJS which means that instead of planning lines type of Budget type Planning is used. The main focus is on visualizing the Resource Planning for a project. VJS Job View shows the planned resources per project task and allows you to drag the bars to other dates, add resources to a project task. The resource and histogram views show the capacity and load on the resources. For a detailed description on the functionality of VJS refer to the NETRONIC help pages.
When installed the Project Gantt Chart for a single Project can be opened from the Project Card > Related > Project > Project Gantt Chart. Gantt charts for all projects can be opened from the Project Manager Role Center > Actions > Tasks > Project Gantt Charts.
To properly calculate the resource planning resource capacities must be calculated:
- For all resources that must be shown in the planning set a Work Hour Template on the Resource Card.
- From the Project Manager Role Center open Resource Mgmt. > Calc. Resource Capacity.
- In the request page select a starting - and ending date and, optionally, use any of the Resource filters:
- Type: Blank (= all types), Person or Machine
- No.: Calculate for the specified Resource only
- Resource Group No.: Calculate for the specified Resource Group only.
- Click OK to start the calculation.
Recommendation is to make the following settings in VJS:
- Open VJS as mentioned above
- Open Company Setup from the Actions menu

Also note the option to update, bar, Labels -, Tooltips - as well as the left-hand side Table - descriptions from the User Setup page New menu
Compared to the PCS pages, VJS has the following limitations:
- Planning lines with Resource Groups are not shown.
- To save modified planning lines the planning line status must be Open.
- Only Items marked as Show in VJS on the Item card are shown.
