Resource Task Setup
To setup Resource Tasks:
- Choose the icon, enter Resource Task Setup, and then choose the related link.
- Complete the following fields in the Task Setup page.
Field | Explanation |

General fast-tab | |
Task Nos | Select a number series |
Default Work Type | All time postings require a work type, select the default work type for resources of the type person in this field. |
Default Machine Work Type | Select the default work type for resources of the type machine in this field. |
Back-flush hours | When on the planned hours for a Resource are copied to the time sheet. When off the Resource has to manually specify the worked hours. |
Advance Start Date | Make the Resource Task starting date start earlier with this date formula. |
Delayed End Date | Make the Resource Task ending date end later with this date formula. |
Allow Working on Multiple Tasks | When on the Resource can have multiple resource tasks running at the same time (When using the Start/Stop action). When off any running resource task will be ended when starting a new resource task. |
Assignment mandatory | When true the resource can only select assigned resources tasks. |
Global Stop Time for Tasks | Specify a time of day when all Resource Tasks must be stopped by the Task "Global Stop TIL". You can set individual Resource Tasks to "Exempt from Global Stop". |
Caption fast tab | Set the captions for the (3) user defined fields on the Resource Task and the Resource Task Assignment. Only one set of captions is available for the different set of resource tasks. |
Project fast-tab | - Select 3 user defined fields for the Resource Task from the Projectand/or the Project Task; - Select 3 user defined fields for the Resource Task Assignment from the ProjectPlanning line and/or the ProjectBudget line. |
Production fast-tab | - Set the Resource Task Creation Type to: "for all operations" or "for Point of Completion" = a Resource Task is only created for the operation(s) marked as Point of Completion; - Select 3 user defined fields for the Resource Task from the Production Order and/or the Prod. Order Routing line. |
Service fast-tab | Select 3 user defined fields for the Resource Task from the Service Header. |
Assembly fast-tab | - Check "Create Task on Assembly Release" when you want the Resource Task to be created when the Assembly Order is released; - Select 3 user defined fields for the Resource Task from the Assembly Header. |
