How to: Assign Standing Orders to Delivery Routes

You can link a standing order to a delivery route that has been assigned to a particular customer. When you run the Make Delivery Orders batch job, the program will automatically generate sales orders from standing orders that have been assigned to customer delivery routes.

To assign a standing order to a delivery route

  1. In the Search box, enter Customers, and then choose the related link.
  2. Open the relevant Customer card.
  3. On the Navigate tab, in the Sales group, choose Delivery Routing Matrix.
  4. In the Delivery Routing Matrix window, select the day of the week on which you will assign a standing order.
  5. In the Standing Order No. field, select a standing order that exists for the customer.

A standing order's Next Order Date is used by the program when the Make Delivery Orders batch job automatically generates sales orders. When a standing sales order is assigned to a weekday in the Delivery Routing Matrix window, you should make sure that the order's Next Order Date falls on the appropriate day of the week.
