Mapper

The mapper element maps the external document to the internal document. When both documents are known, the Mapping button opens a new page where you can map the documents.

Because mapping is a recurring task, it is available directly on the connection card. However, when a connection holds several mapper elements, the button does not work, open the document mapper setup and use the mapping button there instead.

The mapping is based on the target document. You can map the source document, but other options are also available.

When you select the table node of the target document, only parent nodes from the source document are available. Use the assist-edit button to select all possible parent nodes.

When you select a field node of the target document and select the assist-edit button, the expression wizard opens. Choose between a source field (from the external document), a constant (literal string), or a function. Note that custom functions available in the framework are not available here.
