About: SCHEDULER activity

In Business Integration Solutions, use the SCHEDULER activity to allow background pipeline processing anywhere in the pipeline except at the start or end.

Usage

Use this activity when you want a message to process in a background session with the remaining pipeline elements.

Concept

The Scheduler lets a user-specific pipeline process hand over to a background session. This means the user does not have to wait for certain parts of the pipeline processing to complete.

Notification Management benefits from using the Message Editor instead of OutlookWriter for performance gains. It is recommended to use the Scheduler and SMTP Writer in the pipeline.
