About: Change Log

A change log is a mechanism to react on data changes in Microsoft Dynamics BC and carry out actions.

In a multi-user enterprise application with an underlying database data can be updated in different ways, at different times, by different people and different programs. In integration scenarios it is sometimes required to initiate export of data when a change happens on certain data. For that purpose a change log is used. Change log is defined on a Microsoft Dynamics BC table, and deals with Create, Update, Delete and Rename actions.
