About: OUTLOOKWRITER endpoint

In Business Integration Solutions, the OUTLOOKWRITER endpoint writes messages in your default email client.

Usage

Use this endpoint to save your messages in EML (email message) format, which you can open in Microsoft Outlook.

Concept

Use this endpoint especially when you want to send notifications using Microsoft Outlook. It works best with the following activities:

• XML To HTML Translator activity: Provides messages in HTML or plain text format.
• Attachment Generator activity: Attaches standard Microsoft Dynamics NAV reports in PDF, Microsoft Word, or Microsoft Excel formats.

This endpoint does not require specific settings. Microsoft Outlook does not have to be installed, you can also use other email clients such as Windows Mail or Firefox Mail.
