About: MAPPER activity

In Business Integration Solutions, use the MAPPER activity to map data items from several sources.

Usage

Use this activity to define the relationship between an internal document and an external document.

Settings

Concept

To convert data from Microsoft Dynamics BC into a different format and/or structure, configure a mapping between documents. To import data into Microsoft Dynamics BC, map the external document to the internal document.

An internal document is an XML definition linked to tables and fields. An external document is typically a shared representation of the information being exchanged.

The Mapper displays the structure of the source and target objects and lets you map fields with a few mouse clicks.

Add Namespaces: This flag is checked by default. It controls whether namespaces are added to the root of the resulting mapped document.

Empty Document Action: This setting controls what happens when the result of the mapping contains no nodes. The setting has the following values: Continue, Cancel, and Error.
